Santa Fe Ride

Santa Fe Ride serves individuals whose disabilities prevent them from accessing our routes. It is a complementary ADA paratransit service that serves the needs of customers who meet the ADA Paratransit Eligible definition established by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990.

Santa Fe Ride also provides transportation to adults 60 and older who reside within the city limits. A Senior Application (see below) must be submitted and will be processed in 5 days on average. Once processed, the applicant will be issued an ID number and can begin scheduling trips. ID cards will be issued at a later date. The fare per trip is $5.00.

All ADA and Senior veterans ride for free. To qualify, proof of veteran status must be provided. An official Department of Veterans Affairs ID card or a military discharge certificate (DD214) and a photo ID or driver’s License with Veteran status must be brought into the Administration Office.

ADA Paratransit Applications need to be partially completed by a Healthcare Provider, so we cannot complete these over the phone. The Application can be downloaded by clicking here. Completed Applications can then be submitted via Fax or Mail. A telephone interview will be conducted once a completed application has been received. When eligibility for the program has been established, the applicant will be issued an ID number and can begin to schedule trips.  ID cards will be issued at a later date.
